Fit out and construction services company, ISG, has recently supported charity organisation, Make-A-Wish Malaysia, in providing phenomenal experiences to children with critical illnesses.
In 2017, ISG Malaysia raised RM60,000 for the organisation during a charity auction, and the funds have granted the wishes of six children to date, with surplus that will be utilised for other children in the future.
Make-A-Wish Malaysia organises inspiring, enjoyable and life-changing experiences for these children and their families, allowing them to put aside challenges for a day to empower them with hope, strength and joy.
The charity reported the tremendous benefits the children have received – four of them visited the Legoland theme park, one was granted a trip to the museums and safari in Singapore, while another was gifted with toys of his favourite superheroes.
Expressing her appreciation, chief executive officer of Make-A-Wish Malaysia, Irene Tan mentioned: “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to ISG for their generosity in helping us grant these wishes."
“The memories created during their ‘wish days’ and trips bring personal joy and a sense of achievement to each child and the impact of each wish are long lasting.”
Steve Ramsden, managing director for Southeast Asia and Middle East, commented: “It is truly humbling to see how the children have benefitted from the donation.”
“We are incredibly proud that ISG is associated with such an important foundation, and are delighted to have made a difference in their lives alongside Make-A-Wish Malaysia.”
These children go through various life-threatening medical conditions, and undergoing treatment to battle it out would mean that most of their hopes and dreams are left to take a back seat.
